To address to the need for cleaner delivery fleets across Europe, Oxygen S.p.A., Italian provider of electric transporters has placed orders for Valence’s new U-Charge XP lithium-ion battery systems for powering its fleet of electric scooters.
The scooters will be specifically designed having cargo boxes, brushless motor, electronic engine control and regenerative braking. It can go up to 85 miles range (137 km) with peak power rates of 500 to 1,700 continuous watts.
When launched this summer, Oxygen’s initial fleet will be used by European Postal Service.
