To add to the fleet of the present 19 flexible-fuel vehicles, twelve new FFV would soon be available for purchase in U.S. increasing the total number of FFV available in the country to 31, as per the National Ethanol Vehicle Coalition statement.
This new fleet, which runs on both gasoline and ethanol, consist mainly of light trucks. The list of this soon to be available trucks are:
4.7-liter 2007 Chrysler Aspen and the 5.6-liter 2007 Nissan Armada.
DaimlerChrysler will offer four flex-fuel vehicles in the model year 2007: the 4.7-liter V8 Chrysler Aspen, the 4.7-liter V8 Jeep Commander, the 4.7-liter V8 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the 4.7-liter V8 Dodge Dakota.
General Motors will offer six for the same model year: the 5.3-liter V8 Chevy Express, the 5.3-liter V8 GMC Savana, 3.9-liter V6 Chevrolet Uplander, the 3.9-liter V6 Pontiac Montana, the 3.9-liter Saturn Relay and the 3.9-liter V6 Buick Terraza.
Mercedes-Benz will introduce the 2.5-liter V6 C230 FFV, and
Nissan will roll out the 5.6-liter V8 Armada.
