Gas prices are determined to hit the roof and stay on top for a long time– much to the distress of many. Among the worst hit are the Americans. American drivers are already busy looking for alternative fuels that will burn lesser hole in the pockets.
Over the weekend, the American Automobile Association hosted its first Green show displaying cars that run on alternative fuels. Hybrids, natural gas powered car, and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles were present at the show. From these three, the last one is most promising for Americans.
Chris White of the California Fuel Cell Partnership says:
It is zero emissions. They make clean, fast great-performing vehicles. And it’s a fuel source that we will never run out of.
Ole and Jo Helleskov of Carmichael, with high cost of gasoline and the environmental impact of fossil fuels in mind, believe hydrogen fuel cell technology to be the solution. In the East Bay, a handful of hydrogen-powered buses are already being successfully tested on the roads.
However, there is one major hurdle to cross before reaching that stage. Manufacturers predict hydrogen-powered cars will take at least 10 years to be affordable. On the other hand, there is one major advantage of owning such a car. Most repairs can be done through computer without any need for mechanics. If this feature is be able to draw buyers in spite of the cost, then hydrogen fuel cell cars could be America’s solution to fuel crisis.

preferably, hydrogen fuel cell vehicles is my choice...improvised cars nowadays are quite tempting, but somehow the cost takes a larger barrier..but Americans will surely opt for this..a lot of cars are improved with added features as well as getting into the way of making hydrogen fuel cell vehicles..h0pe subaru was one of them, since they had already proposed hybrid cars..with my subaru, i had done maintenance on it and a regular check on its parts (ex:subaru engine, subaru exhaust, bumper,..)
