Paris Motor Show is the place to be for all car fanatics. Starting 30th September, this show is all set to rock with numerous stunning cars and Citroen C-Metisse Diesel Hybrid Sports car is another one causing astir.
This Diesel /Hybrid from Citroen is powered by a 205 hp diesel V6 engine on the front wheels , two electric motors on the rear wheels and does 0 to 60mph in 6.2 seconds .
Being a concept car there is no surety that we will see this car burning the roads but this concept could soon be seen assuming more realistic proportions for Peugeot 307 and Citroen C4.

This is one of the masterpiece car ever created by Citroen. Superb elegance and sporty. Looking forward for this car to be sold to the Public very very SOOON
the car looks great! but Jeff it is still not a certainty whether it will make it to production... Citroen wants to use its diesel/ hybrid concept in few upcoming models... it will be rather unfortunate if this particular model does not make to production... lets just keep our fingers crossed and pray that some good sense prevails and we sooon see this car on road.. i would love that to happen
With the petrol price hovering at USD60, most car company is switching to hybrid and diesel will be a better alternative. I agree with you Atul if this model does not make into production its going to be be rather unfortunate. If the hybrid engine is still not ready for the public well use the conventional petrol engine.
jeff u are equally in love with this car as much as i am ... releasing it as a hybrid concept and then switchin it to petrol version will be tough ask for citroen coz car critics crave for such oppurtunities and once they find a blemish , the assualt begins ... the diesel can still be a feasible option for citroen and just to make sure the emissions are co2 free they can potentially use Aquygen gas... check http://www.automotto.org/entry/aquygen-the-breakthrough-fuel-additive/
There is also alternative for diesel. Bio diesel derive from palm tree. This alternative will ensure that the CO2 emission at the minimum. You are right Atul, Citroen Metisse identity shal remain as hybrid. I wonder how much will it cost???
I’ve read your comments above and I too absoulutely love this car! I’ve seen other comments on different sites saying that the back of the car should go back to the drawing board, and that it resembles that of a Dodge Magnum. I personally disagree, one of the shots taken of the rear end look stunning and I just can’t wait for this wonderful car to hopefully be put into production. But do any of you know the price range of this model if it was to be released. Can’t wait to hear back . . .
Dan this car is a mere concept car , even the link u ve sent has all specifications barring the price and the production date... Citroen does have plans to use the concept of this one on many upcoming models but will this specific model make it to production or not is anybody’s guess ... me and Jeff have our Fingers crossed hope u too will do the same...cheers
and ya the price is ascertained once the production is a surety , the automakers have to consider a lot of facets before they ascertain the price including the country location where the car is scheduled to be sold
