After more that two decades of development Honda finally thinks that the time is right to launch it’s much talked about hybrid fuel cell car FCX.

With the launch of this car Honda will continue to maintain its industry lead as the “greenest” car company.

The car named FCX will be powered by fuel cells that will provide an equivalent of nearly 70 mpg. But all that is good if you live quite near to a hydrogen fueling station.

The benefits of a hydrogen fuel cell car are many. The best feature is that the only emission from the engine is water vapor which makes it the most eco-friendly fuel.

Moreover the FCX is the first hydrogen fuel cell car that has been certified for daily use by both the Environmental Protection Agency and California Air Resources Board.

Honda expects to release the car at a lower price than Civic of Prius Hybrid so that it can cater a large audience.
