Lending its expertise to HOURCAR, a car-sharing program at Minnesota, Hymotion has upgraded the 13-vehicle fleet of Priuses the company owns so that it delivers 100+ mpg... depending upon speed and range. Hymotion’s 5 kWh lithium-ion battery kit supplements Prius’ NiHM battery pack. Such battery powers the Prius electrically for which it draws energy from the engine and regenerative braking during operation, and from the power grid when the vehicle is parked and plugged in.
