Let me give a softer side to ‘Hybridcarnews’. Actually, I was so impressed with this so eco-friendly family that I knew I had to share it as wide as I possibly can. The Prewitts family comprises David Joshua Prewitt, the father; Naomi Prewitt, the mother; two little daughters and a bubble shape electric vehicle.Their first step to the green path was when several years ago, they gave up one of their two cars and went for an electric-assist bicycle as an alternative.
The family owns a 2005 hybrid Highlander SUV too. However, the most remarkable step they took was when they went for “Sparky,” the GEM (Global Electric Motorcars) vehicle. Sparky has come to be the family’s pride and joy since their ownership from July 3rd.
Sparky costs $15,000, an e4 model, four-door car that comes fully equipped with four-wheel hydraulic brakes, three-point anchored seatbelts and an optional passenger enclosure. It also has a high-tech screen display with a charge level indicator. From a 110-volt outlet, the car need eight hours to fuel up so that it can deliver 30 miles up to 24 mp.
Naomi Prewitt shares:
I’d rather be in this because it’s different - I like to stand out.”
