The Michelin Hy-Light electric car, which is being developed in Switzerland, was recently taken to the road by the ‘Business Week’ reporter Bruno Giussani. The prototype car was found to be fast, silent and completely pollution free.

The Hy-Light has been designed around a hydrogen fuel cell and it generates electricity from hydrogen and oxygen which are stored in two specifically developed tanks. You must be thinking about the output of the eco-friendly beast. Well, the Hy-Light can get to a whopping 80mph and move from zero to 60mph in under 12 seconds and is claimed to travel over 200 miles on its two tanks.

Interestingly, the electric motors and suspension components are rooted to the wheels in order to augment efficiency of the vehicle. The Hy-Light has a regular plate and has been exhibited at select fairs for a couple of years.
