The Peoria-based Firefly Energy Inc., has developed this portable hybrid electric vehicle’s lead acid battery, which is equipped with carbon in lieu of metal, and not nickel-metal hydride and lithium-ion batteries.

According to Firefly, this carbon-based battery for your hybrid car is not just 70% lighter, but also recharges 7 times faster. It also lasts two times longer compared to conventional lead acid batteries.

Compared to the present hybrid electric batteries, these batteries are safer and costs less!
