Alternative fuels have been attracting a lot of companies lately. Now, the world’s first bio-diesel road racer, the VW Jetta has run in the SCCA SPEED Touring Car race at Sebring on March 16. The sports car will be powered by a B50 bio-diesel engine. The driver river Jim Osborn of the Chili Pepper Racing team said:

Alternative fuels have been getting a lot of media attention lately, and to be racing a biodiesel car in the SPEED World Challenge is a great way to show the motorsports industry and the world that alternative fuels are ready to be incorporated into our lives.
