Toyota Motor Sales USA has unveiled the new Highlander and Highlander Hybrid.
Both the cars come under mid-size SUV Category and boast of more space and more power than all the previous models.
Despite of having more space and more power the company claims that it is quieter, smarter and has improved ride comfort.
Moreover the car will also incorporate highest level of safety in the segment. It will provide a total of seven airbags, including a driver’s knee airbag and roll sensing curtain airbags for all the three rows.
This new creation from Toyota also includes other features like Anti-Lock Braking system, traction control, and electronic power steering. Moreover all the models except the base model will also feature backup-camera and a multi-information screen that is not attached to a navigation system.
The car will also feature for the first time a new technology in hood and fender system that has been designed to crumple on impact with a pedestrian.
The company has made no comments on the pricing and the availability of the car. But considering the price of the earlier 2007 model I think it will sell around $40k.
