According to The Guardian, two new all-electric vehicles will debut at the British International Motor Show to be held from July 20-30.

First up is Daimler Chrysler’s Smart For Two. This one will be an all electric version with an output of up to 30 kW (41 hp) and consumption of 12 kWh per 100 kilometers. Created along with a British hybrid and electric drives company, Zytek, this electric car requires 8 hours for a full recharge. However, it will only be offered for lease for about US$690 per month to be used as pool cars.

The other one is The NICE car developed by a team of ex-Lotus engineers. It has a 50-mile range, with a 40 mph top speed.

With free parking charges, annual road tax, and congestion charges these cars are destined to be a huge sucess...just like the older SMART Cars.
