I am talking about Bob Bennett, the Present Senator of Utah; this Far-sighted individual wants to offer varied tax-incentives for Americans, thus provoking them to buy more fuel-efficient cars and trucks.
His Ideology is thoroughly supported by the Oregon Democratic Senator Ron Wyden, who unveiled a legislation on Monday, to offer tax breaks between $630 to $1,860 for any consumer buying a new Fuel Efficient Vehicle. The rebate could also be provided as a concession on buying a fuel efficient Vehicle.
Bennett realizes that the Legislation dubbed OILSAVE, is being introduced very late in the session, but the duo were keen on starting the debate, rather than its outcome.
Bennett and Wyden said
The proposal, would cut $6.8 billion in subsidies for oil companies while offering consumers a $1.3 billion motivation to move off gas-guzzling vehicles. There has been years of “congressional gridlock” on a market-place solution for oil dependence, but that this bipartisan legislation is a simple, effective way of pushing more hybrids and vehicles with better miles to gallon ratios. We do this to start our nation on the road to independence
This proposal would definitely work as a motivation to wean US off its oil dependence, we have already heard of the former President getting a Hybrid SUV as a gift... Bennett too, drives one ...Good Going Big Brother ...
