According to the recent EPA report, cars are getting bulkier-meaning, it guzzles more gas and more difficult to drive around in our crowded cities. To beat this problem, there is a perfect solution called the Z.CAR. It is a stylish three-wheeled auto that relies on the power of hydrogen to sprint forward.

Designed by Zaha Hadid from Iraq, the car comes laden with hinged rear suspension that provides adjustable wheelbase. Such quality makes the car fitting for urban dwellers as a shortened wheelbase eases parking. Besides, the seating of the car is upright so that much of the view ahead can be perceived.

If you think the three wheels only feature would compromise safety then you are wrong. The designer has made sure that it would be one of the safest cars to drive. Once the car reaches high speed, the pod lowers around 10 degrees on the hinged rear suspension, lengthening the wheelbase. This mechanism ensures greater high-speed stability, better handling and improved dynamics.

There is a possibility that the Z.CAR would come out in non-hydrogen format too. A British manufacturer is currently developing the car, and is expected to complete it within 7-12 months. Unfortunately, the car would cost approximately UKP35,000 (US$65,000).
